Bordered by Chianti Hills, Il Poderaccio organic farm covers a 32-ha estate located 5 kilometres from Siena. The farm production includes: two red wines, Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG and “Brunaccio” a Tuscan IGT red wine, their Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a special Grappa.Il Poderaccio dates back to the 13th century when it was a Senese outpost against the “league”. Today, this outstanding facility combines organic farming and farm holidays offering recently refurbished, independent flats immersed in a luxuriant park enriched with precious plants and flowers from the world over.
Citrus fruits and bouganvilles surround a 18x6-metre swimming pool available for the guests as well as boules, a tennis table, the park and the playground for the little ones.
Each apartment has its own private area equipped with sunbeds, chairs and tables to enjoy complete relax among the perfumes and landscapes of the Tuscan hills. A wooden table placed in the little wood of Il Poderaccio offers an ideal location to write in the shadow, surrounded by perfect silence occasionally interrupted by the birds’ singing in the country.
Il Poderaccio is also an animal farm including horses, a cow, a donkey and a variety of farm animals that children can get familiar with during their stay. The sweet and friendly dogs and cats inhabiting the farm live freely in the premises.
