Where we are
Il Poderaccio is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany: really close to Siena city center, it dominates the Chianti shire, offering to visitors a unique panorama surrounded by the Tuscan hills. Wonderful places to visit are at a short distance from Il Poderaccio: Siena, Florence, Grosseto which is on the sea, Lake Trasimeno, the WWF oasis on the lake of Chiusi, the Chianti shire and its numerous castles (Castellina in Chianti, Greve, Radda, Gaiole, the castle of Brolio…), the area named "the crete" of Siena and the abbeys (Buonconvento, Asciano, San Giovanni d' Asso, Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Montalcino, Abbey of S. Antimo, Pienza, Montepulciano, S. Quirico d'Orcia…), the jewels of Siena countryside (Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Colle Val d' Elsa, Isola Abbadia) as well as the Abbey of S. Galgano, Chiusdino and the wonderful baths of Bagno Vignoni, Rapolano and Saturnia.
How to come
From the NorthFrom Highway A1 take the exit named "Firenze Certosa" and drive toward Siena. Take the exit "Siena nord", turn to the left at the first stop sign toward Castellina in Chianti. After 2 km. turn to the right toward Vagliagli. Straight on for 200 m, turn to the right into a non-asphalted road. After 300 m you arrive to a gate. Ring il Poderaccio Paradiso, Rava' or Casieri.
From the South
From Siena take the road toward Florence, exit "Siena Nord". Take the exit "Siena nord", turn to the left at the first stop sign toward Castellina in Chianti. After 2 km. turn to the right toward Vagliagli. Straight for 200 m, turn to the right into a non-asphalted road. After 300 m you arrive to a gate. Ring il Poderaccio Paradiso, Rava' or Casieri.
